Caring for your Prints

Handling

Ensure you wash your hands diligently prior to handling a print. When lifting it, grasp it at two diagonally opposite corners, such as the top-left and bottom-right. Minimize contact with the surface to avoid leaving fingerprints; consider wearing cotton gloves if available.

Storage

Store prints in a flat position, and place a sheet of glassine paper between them to prevent sticking. Opt for a metal storage cabinet over a wooden one to minimize the risk of chemical emissions. Ensure prints are kept away from direct sunlight during both storage and display.

Cleaning

Seek advice from a professional art cleaner for thorough cleaning sessions. When dusting your prints, employ a soft-bristled paintbrush with gentle pressure. Avoid using water or any liquids for cleaning your prints.
